Today's post features a product that has snuck into my skincare routine over a period of a few months.  At first I wasn't too sure whether the REN Omega 3 Optimum skin serum/oil was something that would benefit my combination oily skin type but after using it a few times I found myself reaching for it whenever I felt my skin needed a little boost of nourishment. The 100% plant and mineral derived formula is packed with essential fatty acids that improve moisture levels , promote suppleness and include flax seed, wheat germ and rosehip seed oil.

The serum can be used morning and evening but I find it works best for me when applied in the evening after cleansing and acid toning. The texture is light, silky and fairly runny for an oil but does leave a slight sheen on the skin for about 10 minutes or so before absorbing completely. When I wake up my skin feels plump , hydrated and soothed. I particularly like to use it around 'that time of the month' when I have breakouts as I find it really calming and feel it helps to heal blemishes and fade redness more quickly.

The scent is very subtle, with just a hint of rose and you only need a very small amount (I use about 3 drops) per application so it should last a reasonable amount of time considering this is not inexpensive at £25/30ml (at the time of posting this).

What skincare products are you loving at the moment? I am definitely finding my skin is craving hydration with the very cold weather we have been experiencing in the UK over the last week or so!
