Avene PhysioLift Day Emulsion & Night Balm
Avene PhysioLift review
Avene PhysioLift review

Recently I was thrilled to have the opportunity to trial the new PhysioLift range from Avene. The idea of a range targeted at more mature complexions but one that is still gentle enough for even the most sensitive skinned among us really peaked my interest!

Firstly, the simple but pretty plastic 'pump' dispenser style packaging is perfect for travelling and really hygienic as no finger dipping required! Why oh why don't all brands do this?!

The day emulsion has a really lightweight feel on application, it doesn't feel too rich on my combination oily skin but provides a lovely, slightly luminous, hydrating base under my foundation.

The night balm is a lot thicker in consistency and includes among other active ingredients Retinaldehyde to encourage firmness and smooth fine lines. Despite the richer feel it absorbs quite quickly and doesn't seem to have that annoying stickiness some night specific formulas sometimes do.

The price point is certainly on the higher end for a pharmacy/drugstore product but overall I am quite intrigued to see what the longer term benefits of using this range will be.

The Avene PhysioLift range is available (here).
