Today's post is all about two new discoveries for me from the French brand L'Occitane. I had been meaning to try their very popular Almond Shower Oil for ages when by chance I spotted it on a recent shopping trip to John Lewis with my lovely sister. I almost walked away when I saw the price (£18/250ml) but after giving it a sniff and mulling over it for a grand total of 2 minutes I was sold!
Having used it a few times now, I love the beautiful almond scent and the way it transforms from a slippery oil into a soft creamy lather when you add water. Using this as a shaving oil (as I've heard many people do) leaves my skin silky smooth and not dry or irritated at all. In fact due to the price I will most likely skip it as an everyday body wash and reserve it as a rather luxurious but effective shaving aid.
Next up is the L'Occitane Ultra Rich Hand and Body Wash. This was purely an impulse purchase! I was in the market for a really nourishing handwash as my hands have been quite dry and when I saw this contained shea and oat milk I couldn't resist giving it a try.
Overall I feel this is a bit of a splurge at (£15/300ml) so although a little goes a long way and the formula is wonderfully soothing I probably wouldn't repurchase it myself but will certainly enjoy it while it lasts!
